An Introduction to Social Investment – online learning session for Scottish Grantmakers | 24 February | 11:00 am | MS Teams

More event details and joining information to follow. We are hosting an online learning session for members to ‘demystify' social investment and explore what it could mean in practice for grant-makers — and for the organisations and communities they support.

We’ll be joined by colleagues from Social Investment Scotland (SIS), including Alastair Davis, with additional input from Better Society Capital (BSC). Together, they’ll offer a practical introduction to what social impact investment is (and isn’t), why organisations use it, and how it can be relevant to charities, social enterprises and community groups—for example where there’s a need to build resilience, invest in assets or services, manage cashflow, or scale delivery. The session will also include an overview of the Scottish social investment landscape and some real-world case studies, with time for discussion and Q&A. This is intended to build knowledge and confidence, and to share useful contacts and next steps.

Please register for the event here.

We hope to see many of our members at these events, and we are looking forward to meeting and welcoming our new members!
