An Invitation to Join Scottish Grantmakers
Introducing Individual Membership
Scottish Grantmakers is the membership organisation for grantmaking charities and individuals working in Scotland. Our charitable purposes are to share best practice in grantmaking, to promote the voluntary sector and the effectiveness of charities.
Across Scotland, grantmaking foundations hold nearly £4 billion in assets and, together, direct over £600 million each year towards causes and promise. Yet much of this grant giving remains intricate, unstable, and often invisible.
At Scottish Grantmakers, we believe that building a community where funders can listen and learn strengthens the practice of giving, key to unlocking Scotland’s potential for social impact.
To help support our mission, Scottish Grantmakers is delighted to launch a new membership category which is designed for individuals engaged in, connected to, or exploring grantmaking and philanthropy across Scotland and beyond.
Why join?
Close access to a well-established community of over 58 funders and sector peers (please see a full list of members on our website)
Invitations to online and in-person events sharing insight and best practice from industry leaders. Recent topics have explored social investment as a route to deeper impact, practical AI demonstrations with open conversation, and the art of building trusting relationships with charities
Opportunities to stay informed on the latest news affecting grantmaking, charities, and the voluntary sector
A forum to build meaningful relationships, collaborate with others, and shape practice around the challenges and possibilities in the sector
