Paristamen is the Greek for “we stand beside”. We are a small grant-making charity supporting a wide range of charitable causes, primarily in Scotland.
Most of our grants are just for £500 under our responsive programme, but they are given on an unrestricted basis to charities up to £1M income to support your normal work (we do not generally fund building projects). Each year we also operate some more specialised grant programmes in specific fields with grants up to £20,000 – see our website for details http://www.paristamen.org.uk. Our correspondence address is in York but the trustees spend much time in Scotland and are keen to receive more applications from Scottish charities.
Our objects include the advancement of the Christian faith and any other charitable purpose which is not inconsistent with this. Some of our grants are for specifically Christian projects (e.g. to churches) but most are awarded to non-religious charities working in fields such as social action, homelessness, support to those with specific medical conditions, community cohesion, etc etc.
